Summary:

Lena Park CDC is hiring a full time, in-person Senior Programs and Operations Coordinator to provide leadership in the coordination and implementation of resident- and community-based programs, while supporting the operational systems that leverage available technology and best practices to enable the community center to function efficiently and in compliance. As a key member of the community engagement team, the Senior Programs and Operations Coordinator works collaboratively to develop and sustain programs and external partnerships that respond to resident and community needs. The Senior Coordinator exercises independent judgment in program development and coordination, data tracking, communication, and logistics, and plays an important role in strengthening internal processes, tools, and practices that support effective program delivery and day-to-day operations.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

Resident and Community Programming

  • Collaborate with Community Engagement Advocates and internal partners to assess resident and community needs, analyze data, and help shape responsive program strategies.
  • Coordinate the planning, scheduling, and implementation of existing and new resident- and community-based programs in partnership with staff and leadership.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners to expand program offerings and bring innovative, effective resources to residents and the broader community.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for program participants and community partners, supporting clear communication and positive engagement.
  • Support resident outreach and engagement efforts through coordinated communications related to community activities.
  • Track program participation, outcomes, and required metrics; maintain accurate records, databases, and program documentation.
  • Support grant compliance and reporting requirements for funders and public agencies, including preparation of data, summaries, and supporting materials.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, trainings, and community events, including space reservations, materials preparation, and follow-up.
  • Contribute to the improvement of internal program and operational processes to support effective, well-coordinated program delivery, including the process for rentals of the community center space.
  • Collaborate with front office and administrative staff to review and refine operating procedures, leveraging available technology and best practices to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Maintain and update an organization-wide operating manual to support clear, accessible, and consistent procedures across teams.
  • Support staff adoption of updated procedures by coordinating documentation, guidance, and follow-up as needed.
  • Coordinate and support the day-to-day maintenance and functionality of the community center facilities.
  • Maintain organized, up-to-date organizational documents within SharePoint, using consistent naming, version control, and archiving practices.
  • Other duties as requested and assigned by the Executive Director

 

Program Operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree or two to three years of programming experience in a community based organization

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE:

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and demonstrate an understanding of the community served and the issues residents may face
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Creative, innovative and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent computer skills and comfort with new technologies
  • Able to build and cultivate relationships
  • Able to work independently as well as with a team
  • Solution oriented and organized, able to set priorities, problem solve and make       recommendations when needed
  • Able to represent Lena Park with other organizations and other stakeholders
  • Required to work weekends and evenings as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions
